Goals |

Participants in the Academy can expect to:
- Enhance knowledge and skills to increase student success.
- Become acquainted with Katy ISD’s culture, expectations, vision and resources.

Times |
|
Please plan to arrive at the KATY ISD ESC at 8:30 a.m. on August 14th and 15th in order to enjoy a continental breakfast. Our theme this year is “Kicking Off Careers in Katy ISD” so feel free to wear your jeans. |

Attendance |
|
New teachers are strongly encouraged to attend both days. Please consult your principal if you have questions regarding your attendance. |
|
Lunch |
|
Participants will be provided a catered lunch both days. Katy ISD Superintendent, Mr. Frailey, will attend on August 14th. On August 15th participants will have an opportunity to meet District Curriculum Coordinators. |
|
Academy Sessions |
|
Sessions will focus on how to create a learning environment that meets the needs of all learners; how to plan, teach and assess in ways that lead to student success; and how to maintain a well-organized classroom conducive to learning. |
