- Teachers and campus administrators will attend on 8/13-8/14, 8:00 - 4:00.
- Instructional paras will attend on 8/14, only. (Clerical paras will not attend.)
- You will pick up an Attendance Documentation card from the Greeter at your training location entrance when you arrive each morning. You must keep up with this card throughout the day and have it signed at each session you attend. The card will be turned in at the end of the day and instructions for this process will be indicated on the card. Your cards for both days will then be sent to your campus Kronos secretary for input so you can be paid.
- Sign-In Sheets will be placed at the entrance of each individual session. You must sign in for each session that you attend to get staff development credit.
o You will be given professional learning credit in PLUS for attendance after the conference is over. o Because curriculum departments’ secretaries must enter participants’ names in PLUS for each session after the conference is over, this process will take time. Therefore, you can expect credit for sessions in which you participate will be in PLUS by December.
- Sessions will be held at locations throughout Katy ISD.
- You must register on this website for the conference. Registration will be available through August 12, should you need to change any of your session selections.
- If, after registering for a session, you find that you need to attend a different session, be sure to go in and drop/delete the session before registering for a different session.
- Sessions will be either a half-day or a full day. So, for half-day sessions, you may need to travel to a different location during lunch. That is why you will have 1.5 hours for lunch.
- If you have any questions regarding a session, click on the Contact List and call/email the person listed for that specific curriculum area.
- The conference is divided into 4 strands:
1.Technology Tools for Digital Learners 2. Student Engagement 3. Leadership 4. Instructional Delivery In registering, note the sessions that are required for your grade level/content area, and register for those first. Then, register for Optional session(s) from the learning strand that best fits your professional learning need.
- Refreshments: We are providing bottled water, only, at all locations. You may want to bring your own snacks. Note: High school PACs allow no food or drinks.
