2008 Folk life Festival Announcement

What was life like for the pioneers of early Texas? How did they Dress? What skills did they need to survive? Where did the children go to school? What kinds of animals did they own? These questions and many more will be answered for those who attend the 22nd Annual Katy Folk Life Festival.

The Katy ISD Outdoor Learning Center will be transformed into scenes of the 1800's, as many demonstrations and activities of pioneer life are recreated.

Visitors will also be able to walk the nature trails, visit the duck pond, and see the displays and exhibits in the science and history classrooms. The Katy Folklife Festival is a family fun event with interesting lessons in Texas History. Make plans to attend on Saturday, April 5, 2008, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Outdoor Learning Center is located at 6301 S. Stadium Lane, Katy, Texas 77494.
